Le Gîte du Pagoulin

Gîte du Pagoulin lies deep in the countryside near the town and sea. Nestled among the fruit trees, it has awe-inspiring views of the horticultural plain and Hyères hills.

In Provençal, "pagoulin" means "farmer", which makes sense as you're on the Barale family's land who have been farming since 1800… "They were market gardeners then horticulturists. The greenhouses were dismantled in 2000," says Karine Bonne who opened the hotel in 2015. "The plant buildings were refurbished into gîtes and have a lot of memories of my grandfather in them."

Outside you'll meet Cachou and Pépète the donkeys and the hens on the extensive lawn with a slide and swing that kids love.

The rustic setting may mean peace and nature but that doesn't mean you have to sacrifice comfort or style.

The interiors are modern and minimalist with terracotta floors, soft and warm colours and bespoke wooden furniture made by a carpenter. The fixtures ooze quality from the bedding to the kitchens and bathrooms.

Karine serves a fabulous breakfast with fruit juice, organic cereal, jam, chestnut cream and cakes made using fruit from the garden.

You feel like part of the family here which is why several clients have been coming back for 3 years... and for long stays!
