Ecrins National Park
"It seemed natural to us to be in an eco-responsible approach and close to nature."

Charléric and Jocelyne welcome their visitors to Le Casset, a small village that has remained authentic and surrounded by nature in the heart of Serre Chevalier. Their hotel and gite are just a stone's throw from the famous Petit Tabuc valley and the mythical peaks of the Ecrins.

We opened Le Rebanchon hotel and gite 7 years ago. We are located at one of the main gateways to the Ecrins National Park here in Casset, there is even a National Park information point. It seemed natural to us to be in an eco-responsible approach, on the one hand, and close to nature, on the other.

In a quest for a nature "label", we came across the Esprit Parc Nationalbrand and we joined 5 years ago, with a renewal this year. We were among the very first. And the renovation of our establishment was done in this spirit.

There are a lot of criteria for the Esprit parc nationalbrand , notably in terms of the insulation of the building, the boiler which runs on wood pellets. We also have the use of ecological products, recyclable and biodegradable containers in the picnic baskets. It is a logical approach to eco-responsibility, including in the products we cook, local and fresh products.

I come to Casset since I was born, it is by passion that we settled here. We live in the nature here. We have children, grandchildren, so we are very sensitive to all that. To try to leave them something correct.
