Port-Cros National Park
"I am happy to welcome in the places where my family has lived and worked for three generations!"

In the beautiful stone house renovated with her husband Damien, Karine Bonne welcomes you with a mixture of serenity and softness. She is happy to live there " It was my grandfather's house ". One can imagine that she has always lived here and that she has always followed a well-trodden path..

In fact, Karine, a doctor in organic chemistry, and Damien, originally from the Vosges, a teacher-researcher at the University of Aix-Marseille, returned to Hyères in 2010. "We were going back and forth and then the twins arrived.

The idea for the gîte came up during their parental leave "we thought we would do it when we retired. But I was able to negotiate my departure and the compensation allowed me to do the work.

No regrets? "None at all! I have the pleasure of picking up my children from school, it's a unique quality of life. And then I enjoy myself, I am happy to welcome in the places where my family lived and worked ". The couple drew up the plans and imagined their project with respect for the environment in mind.

Here everything is organic, homemade, they encourage people to take the car as little as possible, and they plan to install water collectors.

When I knew that the Esprit Parc National brand existed, I applied. It corresponds to our state of mind: my parents have always taken my sister and me on vacation to national parks: Vanoise, Ecrins, Mercantour... We have taken over and already taken the children to the Pyrenees!
