Throughout this 7-day, 6-night astronomy trip with donkeys in the heart of the Cévennes National Park, an astronomer or astrophysicist will address various themes during observations and discussions.
To better understand the philosophical and ecological interest of the dark night, the celestial bestiary (planets, stars, clusters, nebulae, etc.) and the system of location on Earth, the notions of distance and scale (solar system, Galaxy, local clusters) and cartography, the legends linked to the constellations, as well as the observation instruments such as the Galileoscope... to be assembled by yourself and to be used without moderation!
A mountain guide from our team will help you discover how this territory was formed since the creation of the earth (geology), the installation of vegetation, the domestication by man (remaining traces of the Neolithic period, space planning) and to orientate you (making a compass, finding your way with or without a map) in order to link the infinitely large to the infinitely small
The objective of this trip is to survey the sky as well as the earth, in an original way and from an original point of view!
