In the heart of the Ecrins National Park, we will leave on a variant of the GR54 to go to the Eychauda Lake. This milky blue glacial lake is fed by the melt water of the Séguret Foran glacier, which overhangs it. It thaws only 3 to 4 months, and it is not rare to see blocks of ice floating.
This route allows you to reach the lake by making a loop through the Col du Pas de l'Âne and finally the Col des Grangettes. The view on the lake from the Col des Grangettes is panoramic.
This lake of glacial origin is one of the biggest lakes of the massif des écrins
