Half-day bike ride to discover the Cap du Langoustier on the island of Porquerolles

Cycle Porquerollais, which has been present on the island since 1974, offers you this sporty bike ride of around 2h30, supervised by an instructor-guide.

Head west to discover the Langoustier peninsula and its rock forts.

Located at the western end of the island, the peninsula boasts a white sand beach and a stunning black sand beach. Here you can admire the Fort du Grand Langoustier, restored by a private enthusiast. The jagged coastline has been the scene of many fortunes of the sea, perhaps evoked by place names such as Trou du pirate, Calanque du Maure and Pointe du Brégançonnet.

This itinerary has a minimum distance to cover and some steep sections. It therefore requires some previous cycling experience (mastery of gear shifting).

These (minor) efforts will soon be forgotten in the face of the beauty of the landscapes preserved by the Parc national de Port-Cros, and the unusual nooks and crannies that your guide will reveal to you.

Back in the village after one of these rides, you can take a break at the Maison du Parc, in the Jardin Emmanuel Lopez. Keep your bikes until the end of the day, when you can continue to explore other parts of the Pearl of the Golden Isles at your own pace.

Please bring suitable cycling clothing, sun cream and a water bottle.
