The beehives are all moved around with the seasons. They hibernate in the garrigue (Mediterranean shrubland) among the strawberry trees and rosemary bushes.
As early as March, the hives are moved so as to follow the blooms, from the garrigue to the Causses plateaux and then to the mountains. The chosen sites are in protected zones, free from all pollution.
Jacques Campredon produces his honey organically and has been awarded the protected geographical indication, Miel des Cévennes.
