Domaine de la Navicelle tour

At the foot of the Colle Noire range in Le Pradet and with incredible unobstructed views reaching the Alps in the south, the Mas de Fontvieille, renamed Domaine de la Navicelle in 1936, has always been a winery naturally watered by the mountain range's drainage basin. They don't water anything here and nature is given every liberty to express itself as they use biodynamic methods.

The 2 hr tour explores this beautiful 21 hectare property teeming with Provençal trees and introduces you to the biodynamic methods used to work in the vineyards that meet stricter regulations than organic farming. You'll learn the importance of the moon, stars and avoiding any chemical inputs (fertiliser, weed killer etc.) so nature takes its course.

It's all about working the ground, cutting and harvesting by hand.
In the cellar you'll experience the entire wine production process with the use of natural yeast found in grapes, enriched rainwater and making plant-based herbal teas to prevent illness. The only way to end is with a tasting in the cellar. Full-bodied red (the star product), white and even rosé wine with real earthiness and a signature terroir taste, the Domaine de la Navicelle's wines are AOP Côtes de Provence; they have been approved as organic or organically-farmed since 2014 and Demeter since 2017.

It's more than just a winery tour; these passionate professionals present you with a philosophy.
