La Cuite syrup is a cane juice syrup. It is in the pure Reunionese tradition that Alain and Evelyne Huet propose this patrimonial product in Saint-Philippe.
Alain Huet, back in Saint-Philippe after years in France, became interested in sugar cane on his territory. After many trials, this self-taught man succeeded in cultivating his cane not far from there, in Saint-Joseph.
It is for him an evidence to cultivate in organic agriculture and to develop products of quality, tradition, a little forgotten.
This is how he produces the syrup La Cuite, a product resulting from the evaporation of cane juice.
You can use the syrup La Cuite in iced water, cocktails or in marinades of meats or fish.
