Known for its strength, beech wood has been used to carve hooves for generations and to make household utensils.

The color of beech wood is light and slightly pink. It naturally becomes honey-colored when exposed to sunlight. Finally, it can have knots, veins, darker areas, sometimes almost red when it is the heart of the wood that is used. This is called red heart.
