Fils de Toisons - wool accessories and clothing

Gwendoline and her family have settled in a farm property nestled in a valley in Escot (Aspe valley) to raise merino sheep and angora rabbits. Gwendoline makes her own accessories and clothing out of wool.

In their wool farm, they transform the wool of their merino sheep and angora rabbits into a unique yarn obtained through a local spinning mill.

They want their products (balls of wool, headbands...) to be exemplary in terms of respect for nature and impact and they produce the vegetable dye themselves from plants picked on their land or that they grow.

--

Come and discover all the steps of the transformation: from shearing the sheep to washing the wool with spring water, from cleaning with home-made soap to spinning, weaving and hand-knitting.

If you meet Gwendoline at one of the many markets or village festivals, she will share with you her passion for her work.
