Cévennes National Park
"We call ourselves a garden in the National Park, for us it is very important"

The garden of Sambucs, located between Ganges and Valleraugue, is barely visible in the small hamlet of Villaret. It was born of a subtle alchemy between nature and the dreams of a mason-gardener and a magician, Nicholas and Agnès Brückin.

I arrived in the Cévennes in the 1980s. Aith my wife we started a goat farm. En 92 we stopped the activity farming and my wife proposed me the idea ofe to make a garden.

Eshe asked me to make a small staircase, a small wall, a basin and here isà we took ourselves to the game. Oworked for 8 years about and, in 2002, she announced that she wanted to open it to the public.

Drom the beginning we started an ecological garden, we focused much more on focused on biodiversity. People are very demanding of nature now, which was also also the case before but it was less urgent. Mow we are falling into a certain urgency.

Dhe brands we have plenty of, it brings what it brings but this one, National park spirit, i found thatit was a little more speciale because national parks national parks protect biodiversity and nature.

So not to adhere to this is already..a " oddity " what ! We call ourselves a garden in the National Park, for us it is very important.
