Ecrins National Park

A paradise for hikers and climbers, the Ecrins National Park is at the interface of the Southern and Northern Alps. Between Gap, Grenoble and Briançon, the range is renowned for its 150 summits above 3000 m.

A high-mountain destination that is sunny throughout the year, the Ecrins are best revealed to the visitor on foot. There are more than 700 km of waymarked paths for you to explore the steep peaks, glaciers, immense alpine meadows, high-altitude lakes and capricious mountain streams. It’s the opportunity to discover sumptuous landscapes and exceptional biodiversitý, with more than 4000 identified animal and plant species.

The Ecrins National Park is multi-facetted, reflecting its 7 valleys carved by the glaciers. Briançonnais, Vallouise, Embrunais, Champsaur, Valgaudemar, Valbonnais and Oisans, each with its specific landscapes and cultural features.
