Originally from New Caledonia, Sandrine Masachs arrived in France at the age of 20. She first obtained a degree in Art History and then a BTS in Tourism, which gave her a tour guide card.

I have been guiding in the entire southern region since 2008, but today I mainly focus on the Var department. In recent years I have developed walks on protected natural sites or in the middle of nature.

But, for her, obtaining the mark Esprit parc national - Port-Cros, as a guide was a particular step:

I grew up in the middle of the forest, in a village surrounded by tribes, between sea and hills. So I have been aware of nature since childhood. I come from there, it's my universe. So the brand, yes, it's important.

To be distinguished in my work, to be consistent with my philosophy of life, and to offer products that favor this approach which consists in making the public aware of the protection of the natural spaces that we make them discover. And then to find myself in the framework of the islands to work, I am an islander, daughter of the sea as well as of the forest, it is an extraordinary chance. I come back to a familiar setting and I find my way of life there.
