The aim of this hike is to make nature sports enthusiasts aware of their responsibilities towards the Alpine environment, and in particular its wildlife and its vulnerability in winter. By crossing the Plan de Tuéda nature reserve, we'll learn about the fragility of these animals' survival through examples of black grouse and mountain hare.
In winter, mountain flora and fauna face very difficult living conditions. This snowshoe hike in the heart of the Ramée in the Plan de Tuéda nature reserve will reveal some of the "secrets" that trees and animals use to ensure their winter survival. From adapting to coat changes, to building up reserves, we'll try to discover these behaviors through the traces left behind. We'll also see that the natural constraints of winter are increasingly compounded by strong human constraints, and we'll look at solutions to reduce this pressure, and the role of the Vanoise National Park.
Outing scheduled on Wednesdays from December 15, 2024 to April 15, 2025.
Departure point: 08:30 in Courchevel or 09:00 directly from the Tuéda nature reserve parking lot in Méribel-Mottaret.
