In the heart of the majestic cirque de Cilaos, Marion grows edible flowers, aromatic plants and seasonal fruits. Strawberries, rose geranium and turmeric from her garden are harmoniously blended into surprising delights, lollipops, jams, jellies and preparations of her own, such as bissap vinegar. As a farmer, cook and globetrotter, she cultivates 8,000 m² of edible biodiversity at Mare-Sèche, showcasing the flavors of Reunion's terroir. And where there's Cilaos, there's naturally lentils! Here again, grown without chemical inputs, you can enjoy them with your eyes closed.
Established since 2019 at Mare-Sèche in the majestic cirque of Cilaos, Marion Meyer embodies a virtuous, quality agricultural approach that respects the environment. A farmer, chef and inspired globetrotter, Marion grows fruit, vegetables, herbs and flowers without chemical inputs.
Her approach is perfectly in keeping with the preserved spirit of the cirque de Cilaos, a jewel of the island that the Parc National de la Réunion aims to preserve and revitalize.
Marion Meyer was recently included in the initiative to promote Reunion's heritage through the "Esprit Parc National" brand, which underlines the match between her project, her know-how and the typicality of the area. She is the first to be awarded the "Esprit Parc National" label in Cilaos, opening up a whole new range of possibilities for her business to become a part of Reunion's high-quality food and tourism circuits.
On her 8,000 m² permaculture farm, Marion grows a variety of products that she processes herself. Her strawberry, plum and banana jams, lemon balm, mint and verbena jellies, and bissap vinegar are all flavors that sublimate the local flavors specific to the terroir and rhythm of the micro-seasons in Cilaos. Her strawberry, cinnamon and geranium lollipops, made using a totally natural process, are a real success.
Marion Meyer has won several awards for her expertise and environmental commitment. Finalist in the Challenge des Créateurs in 2020 and Talents Gourmands, winner of the Trophée des Femmes Précieuses in 2022, and awarded the "100% La Réunion" label.
