Creation of textiles in wool from the Pyrenees

Pyrénées Création is a young brand that offers original textile creations in wool and fabric from the Pyrenees. It draws its inspiration from the textile history of the Pyrenees, and its energy from a textile industry that is still active in France and mainly in the South West.

The wool of the Pyrenees has a long history... Since the memory of man, wool has been used for warm clothing and for housing. The rustic wools of the Pyrenees have been worked in each house to make products of common use. This artisanal activity at home was then densified in factories and industries, to finally disappear or almost disappear today. Currently 90% of the wool produced in France is exported to Asia to come back as finished products.

To revive and revitalize the wool industry, the designer Anne Thoby works with breeders and actors of the textile industry who wish to promote their know-how. The wool of the Aure and Campan, Barégeoise or Tarasconaise breeds is collected and processed as close as possible to our mountains.
