Mountain honey - GAEC Le Rucher aux Marmottes

On the commune of Beuil, discover the Rucher aux Marmottes and its honeys of heather, mountain, thyme, lavender or Provence. The honey is harvested on the mountainous slopes of the heights of Beuil, Péone and on the plateau of Valensole. Direct sale and guaranteed local!

Rucher aux Marmottes is located in the commune of Beuil, not far from Valberg. The farm has 250 hives, most of them in the Alpes Maritimes. Several types of honey are produced, including heather, mountain, thyme and Provence lavender honeys.

Mountain honey is produced in the commune of Beuil, at an altitude of 1,500 m. This honey comes from a wide variety of mountain flora, ranging from May dandelion to September savory, forget-me-nots and fireweed. Production is highly unpredictable, dependent as it is on weather conditions that can be either too cool or too wet, depending on the year.

The entire production is sold directly on the farm and at local markets.

During the summer months, a daily event is organized to introduce visitors to the world of beekeeping.
