Allibert Trekking offers you a 7 days itinerant trip (level 3) to discover the Mercantour Park and the Vallée des Merveilles, its exceptional setting with a great variety of landscapes, lakes and fauna, as well as prehistoric engraving sites, with accommodation in gites and refuges.

Detailed program of the stay :

* Day 1: Welcome at 6 pm at the Boréon gîte (hamlet of Saint-Martin-Vésubie), gateway to the Mercantour National Park.

* Day 2: Day 2 : Hike in the larch forest. Night at the Madone de Fenestre refuge.

* Day 3: A very mineral stage awaits us today with passages at the foot of the last 3000 meters of the Alps: the Gélas (3143 m), the Malédie (3059 m) and the Clapier (3045 m). A high mountain atmosphere on an itinerary used by the mountaineers of the region in search of beautiful routes. In the evening, we spend the night in a very comfortable gîte in the heart of the Gordolasque valley.

* Day 4: Long progressive climb to the pas de l'Arpette and discovery of the rock engravings of the Vallée des Merveilles.

* Day 5: Hike to the Valmasque and Basto drops and then spend the night at the beautiful Cessole refuge.

* Day 6 : Our path winds through the larches and across large pastures before reaching the Prals drop. From there, a vast panorama opens up with the high peaks of the Mercantour or the whole Mediterranean coastline! Crests or lakes of Prals, the itinerary will be at the appreciation of your guide. End of the stage at the Madone refuge.

* Day 7 : The ridge landscape will reveal the sea in the distance. End of the stay after the hike, at the Boréon.

Level 3 : Itinerary for walkers in good physical shape, on generally maintained and well-marked paths, with a programmed difference in altitude of 700 m / 800 m on average, uphill and 5 hours of walking on average.
