Refuge de la Glière

The ascent to the Glière Refuge is known for its abundance of marmots. An easy 1h45 walk on a dirt track awaits you. After climbing the 450 m of difference in altitude on an easy pastoral path, you arrive at the refuge de la Glière. On the way, you may see chamois watching you, and with luck and binoculars, you may see deer, roe deer, golden eagle or even bearded vulture.

Located at 2,010 m of altitude in the commune of Champagny en Vanoise, you will find enough to quench your thirst and satisfy your hunger. In this isolated place, without modern energy means, the team of the refuge makes every effort to propose a simple but quality restoration: local, regional products and some resulting from an organic agriculture. You will be able to sleep on the spot: with the choice, 12 places in traditional dormitory or 20 places in the rooms of 4. Dates of opening: Mid-June to mid-September
