Visit of the Jardin du Lautaret
Col du Lautaret
05480 Villar-d'Arêne
France
Since 1899, the Jardin du Lautaret presents a collection of more than 2000 "alpine" species from the mountains of the world. In a maze of small paths, with each step, you discover a new continent !
Surrounded at 360° by mountains each more impressive than the last, the Jardin du Lautaret boasts a vast botanical collection of remarkable high-altitude plants.
As you make your way through the various flower beds, you'll discover a new continent with every step you take! Numerous events are offered throughout the summer: visits to the exhibition hall, guided tours of the garden, tours of the scientific facilities, lectures, concerts, storytelling walks, botanical watercolor workshops...
Come and discover and be part of the extraordinary history of this unique place, which evolves every year to the delight of the curious, the scientific and the passionate.
Guided tours lasting 1 hour (included in the garden entrance fee) are offered in season, and enable you to discover the history of the garden, its collections, botany and the use of plants.
The Garden is classified as a Remarkable Garden and a member of the Botanical Gardens of France and French-speaking Countries (JBF).
