Snorkeling at Anse Magaud
Anse de Magaud
83130 La Garde
France
Snorkeling is an easily accessible activity, allowing an immersion in the deep blue sea with the discovery of the Mediterranean shallows. Along the underwater path of Anse Magaud, the association Naturoscope accompanies and enriches this discovery of the marine environment.
The practice of palm-walking, or underwater trekking, allows you to discover the Mediterranean shallows in situ. Wearing light equipment (fins, mask, snorkel and wetsuit), participants immerse themselves in the deep blue sea to discover the natural and cultural heritage of the marine environment.
The Anse Magaud underwater trail is managed by the commune of La Garde, which has entrusted the Naturoscope association with its management. The trail is part of the network of 9 underwater trails partnering the Parc national de Port-Cros. It can be explored on your own or under the supervision of the association's diving instructor, from early July to late August, from Tuesday to Saturday. The service is available by reservation only.
The activity has multiple educational objectives. They aim to encourage marine exploration through sensory approaches and to discover some of the animal and plant species present in the Mediterranean Sea, as well as to introduce participants to environmentally-friendly practices for future accompanied or autonomous practice, and to understand an environment so as to better respect it on a daily basis.
This activity is open to children aged 8 and over who know how to swim, accompanied by one of their parents (parental authorization required if the child is accompanied by another adult).
Equipment (fins, mask, snorkel, wetsuit) provided.
Three slots available daily from Tuesday to Saturday, at 10 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Maximum 8 people per session.
