The Bamboo plantation in Cevennes

La Bambouseraie en Cévennes covers 12 hectares and is home to over 1,000 plant species, including 180 species of bamboo. The Bambouseraie botanical garden is unique in Europe!

The estate is accessible to all 4 types of disability:

Hearing impaired

• 100% accessible garden
• Magnetic loop available at every point of sale: ticket office, bamboo store, bamboo nack, garden center
• Throughout the visit, signs inform visitors about the different areas and plants
• a special visitor guide is available free of charge at reception

Motor disabilities

• The Mazel greenhouses are accessible in full or in part, depending on the type of disability: the Mazel greenhouses have staircases that cannot be modified due to the fact that they are listed as "Monuments Historiques".
• A reception desk with a recess to accommodate wheelchair users
• All the walkways are made of easy-to-use clapissette, with a gentle gradient and no obstacles in the way. If you are in a wheelchair, we advise you to bring someone with you who can push you up the few slopes in the garden.
• We can lend you a spare wheelchair suitable for people with reduced mobility.

Visually impaired

• A tactile-visual map is available to the left of the entrance gate on the street side, then guide strips lead you to the ticket office and bamboo store.
• Guide dogs welcome
