Campana de Cloutou refuge

The refuge de Campana is a somewhat secret lakeside destination where the effort required to get there will be rewarded by a pleasant evening and night in this new refuge clad in wood and local stone.

Surrounded by the magnificent lakes and peaks of the Néouvielle massif, the Campana de cloutou refuge is like a boat lashed to its granite block, nestled in a small grove of hooked pines.

Multiple access routes to Campana will let you discover the magical world of Néouvielle. In winter, ski touring and snowshoeing enthusiasts can choose from a wide range of itineraries.

At the refuge, you'll be greeted by the smiles of the wardens. You'll have earned yourself a cold drink and a blueberry tart, a cosy corner where you can put down your belongings for the night, a convivial moment over a meal made with organic and local produce, and with a bit of luck a night sky revealing its milky way and myriads of stars; you're in the middle of the International Dark Sky Reserve.

The refuge offers cosy dormitories for 4, 6 and 12 people, two showers, a dining room with large windows overlooking the terrace and Lake Campana, all with custom-made wooden furniture.
