Refuge of La Femma

It is an ideal family stopover for a peaceful stay. Don't forget your binoculars, they can be useful to see marmots or chamois. The refuge is also an ideal place for experienced hikers wishing to hike around the refuge. To get there in summer, there are several solutions: go to the Bellecombe parking lot with your car or with the free shuttle bus from Termignon, and follow the pleasant path that leads to the Femma refuge. Count 2H45 of walking without any difficulty. You can also take the shuttle bus from Termignon or Bellecombe to the hamlet of Plume fine, from there you will have 1H45 to reach the refuge.

The Femma refuge is composed of three buildings. Comfortable with rooms between two and six beds and hot showers, it is possible to stay a few days in the refuge. Aurélien Maignan and his team offer a varied menu of quality local products. Bivouacs are allowed in the vicinity. The refuge is guarded from March to mid-May and from mid-June to mid-September. Outside these periods, the winter refuge remains open. To spend the night there, it is necessary to reserve before going up.
