Visit of the Jardin du Lautaret
Col du Lautaret
Since 1899, the Jardin du Lautaret presents a collection of more than 2000 "alpine" species from the mountains of the world. In a maze of small paths, with each step, you discover a new continent !
Surrounded by 360° mountains, each more impressive than the other, the Lautaret Garden presents a vast botanical collection of remarkable high altitude plants.
As you walk between the different flower beds, you will discover a new continent at each step ! Numerous activities are proposed all summer long: visit of the exhibition room, guided tours of the garden, visits of the scientific infrastructures, conferences, concerts, storytelling walks, botanical watercolor courses...
Come and discover and be part of the extraordinary history of this unique place, which evolves every year, for the pleasure of the curious, the scientists and the passionate.
Guided tours of 1 hour (included in the entrance fee of the Garden) are offered in season and allow you to discover the history of the garden, its collections, botany and the use of plants.
