Guadeloupe is an exceptional island for nature lovers: it is full of places more beautiful than the others. One of these places, very little visited and almost secret, is located at the southern tip of Basse Terre: it is the Caribbean Mountains. This massif is crossed by many tracks, but the loop of the Morne Grande Voûte is without any doubt the most beautiful and the most interesting. It is not too long, not marked out and offers other certain advantages: a unique vegetation (of which numerous orchids), beautiful points of view on the Soufrière and Basse-Terre, impressive passages on crests... and a silence of an incredible purity.
Duration of the trip price : 35 € for adults, 20€ for children.
Difficulties: hike classified as difficult: you must be able to walk for 3 hours on a relatively uneven terrain with a strong difference in level and not have any major physical problem (breathing, balance, heart, etc.).
Equipment closed shoes, rain gear, water, snacks and spare shoes.
