The traces that are drawn in the middle of the Guadeloupean forests are doors of entry towards an exceptional nature and landscapes while being often marked by the cultural History of the island. To survey them accompanied by a guide will allow you to seize all the beauty of it.

It is with this will that Yoann Jaffré, state-certified guide and passionate about ecology, practises his job. He will do his best to make your hike pleasant and instructive while ensuring your safety. During your excursion, he will suggest many stops to enhance your outing with explanations on the environment that surrounds you. Botany, geology, history... Hike to discover the Bassin Bleu and the Parabole :

Original hike, half in the water and half in the forest, which will allow you to discover splendid landscapes. On the program: pools, waterfalls, gorges and humid forest. What to take full of eyes! This great loop will lead you through a wide path to the Bassin Bleu, a place well known by many Guadeloupeans. Then, it is the adventure which will begin. After having crossed a first rather easy obstacle, you will be in the bed of the river of Galion that you will go up until the waterfall of the Parabole, high of 12 m, after a succession of basin and enchanting landscapes. You will then leave the bed of the river to find the civilization after a good walk through a very beautiful wet forest comprising some remarkable trees.

Duration of the trip : 4h30

Rates 35€ for adults, 20€ for children.

Difficulties difficulty : this loop located at the limit of the National Park is reserved for good walkers because it includes a long portion in the river and two passages with rope. It is classified as difficult: you must be in good physical condition and have no major physical problems (breathing, balance, heart, etc).

Equipment closed shoes, rain gear, water, snacks and a change of clothes.

Between botany, geology, ecology and ornithology, you will discover the National Park of Guadeloupe differently, by taking paths unknown to the general public and by learning a little more about the singularities of the tropical forest. Between the majestic Vieille Dame, the impressive Chute du Galion, the unavoidable Chutes du Carbet, the historical Trace des Nèg Marrons and many others, Yoann Jaffré will explain the role of the volcano, the peculiarities of the plant kingdom or the culture of Guadeloupe through places full of history.
