Refuge of Valmasque

Set in a world of rock and alpine grass, this comforting refuge, renovated in 1984, opens onto a large, beautiful terrace.

Whether you prefer hiking, mountaineering, fishing or ski touring, you'll find what you're looking for at La Valmasque. At the foot of Mont Clapier, you can walk between mountain lakes (Lac de l'Agnel, Lac Vert, Lac Noir, Lac du Basto) and eventually reach the refuge des Merveilles or the refuge de Nice to discover the Merveilles and Fontanalbe valleys.

You'll be welcomed by Catherine, the janitor, and her team, and won't be surprised to meet her 4 donkeys on your arrival, who once a week supply the refuge with fresh local produce!

At La Valmasque, everything is homemade !
