Le Muid Montsaugeonnais - Chardonnay
23 avenue de Bourgogne
52190 Vaux-sous-Aubigny
France
The Muid Montsaugeonnais is a vineyard, in conversion to organic farming, of nearly 14ha which produces white, red, rosé and sparkling wines as well as ratafia, grape juice and wine vinegar.
Our terroirs, located in Vaux-sous-Aubigny, Montsaugeon, Rivières-les-fosses and Chatoillenot, are particularly well suited to the cultivation of vines and owe their quality to both the composition of the soil and its exposure. Our 4 grape varieties - Pinot noir, Gamay, Chardonnay and Auxerrois - flourish there and offer us their flavors.
Since the creation of the Muid Montsaugeonnais, Dominique and Isabelle, our winegrowers, as well as their teams, have given the vineyard a real identity. This know-how has been recognized and rewarded several times (Salon de l'Agriculture, Guide Hachette des vins, etc.).
Since 2020, we continue our search for quality with the conversion to Organic Agriculture and the plot-based vinification, which will allow our wines to better reveal the quality of our terroirs.
Production, harvesting, vinification, bottling (carried out by a service provider) and storage (cellar and vats) are carried out on the farm.
The chardonnay :
- Terroir : clay-limestone soil on the hillside and mid-slope
- Exposure : South-East
- Average age of the vines : 18 years
- Tasting: consumed young, it is fresh and fruity. With the years it becomes more mellow and round in the mouth.
