France-May Lebreton's ginger "rock

At the gateway to Sud Sauvage, in Plaine des Grègues, in the upper reaches of the commune of Saint Joseph, France-May Lebreton grows ginger in the traditional way. She transforms it into delicious products for her kitchen!

Ginger is a key ingredient in Réunionese cuisine, and it holds no secrets for France-May. In 2015, she decided to take over the family farm at Plaine des Grègues, located in the Hauts de Saint-Joseph area. On her farm, she grows ginger in particular, and processes it by hand, respecting natural resources and the environment. Don't hesitate to try her infusion in jelly, as well as her syrup, a spicy delight to be enjoyed at any time of day..

At the gateway to Sud Sauvage, in Plaine des Grègues, in the upper reaches of the commune of Saint Joseph, France-May Lebreton grows turmeric in the traditional way. She transforms it by hand into marmalade, syrup or powder..

"I produce turmeric by hand. I've had a hand-held machine for a long time, and I transform it into marmalade, syrup and powder. It's ideal for cavities and for self-care.

My husband and I used to work as a family. He had a genetic disease and I thought I'd make a living out of it. So I became a farmer, and that's the best thing for me! Then, little by little, I started processing turmeric.

My products are stamped National Park spiritand for me, that's a beautiful thing! I love green, it's the color of the forest. Plus, it's a plus for my work to be Esprit parc national.

People come to me from metropolitan France, and they're already familiar with my products Esprit parc national. They come to see my products, and then, when they leave my home, they tell me they see that I do my work with my heart; that's what we want, trust."
