Florent is a beekeeper like no other. He is in permanent research of an alternative and natural beekeeping where the bees are in the center of his reflection in order to give them a maximum of comfort.
His farm, the Rucher Pentu, has 80 Kenyan beehives spread over five sites located in the Luz valley between 750 and 1,700 meters above sea level. This situation offers a production of great purity.
For a better comfort of the bees and for the great naturalness that they allow, Florent uses Kenyan hives, of which he is the producer and of which he has reworked the model for a great versatility: honey production, queen rearing, jelly production, etc. These hives are very close to nature, thanks to them there is no accumulation of chemical residues in the waxes. The Kenyan hive is the ecological and alternative hive par excellence.
The products from this hive have received the organic farming label in 2020. Their nutritional qualities are exceptional: royal jelly, honeycomb, bee bread ..

Royal jelly is a creamy product, white to yellowish in color, with a gelatinous appearance and a slightly bitter taste. It is produced in small quantities by the bees to feed all the larvae until the fourth day. The workers and males are then fed with a substance combining honey and pollen. Only the queen is exclusively fed with royal jelly. Royal jelly is known for its exceptional medicinal properties, recognized since antiquity.
