Cévennes Stay: family adventures

A wide range of activities for the whole family: a playful exploration by night with the "nature explorer kit", a GPS and Geocaching activity with a nature rally, a discovery of natural sites: the cheese cave, the Foux arboretum, a day hike with Kaki, a mimaginist entertainer, which will end with an evening show at the accommodation. And finally a day of canyoning in the Dourbie.

• Day 1 : Aiguebonne - Trévezel Valley

Meeting at the end of the morning directly at the accommodation in Aiguebonne in the Trévezel valley to share our first picnic and to get acquainted. Presentation of the stay and the farm where we will be staying for 4 nights. Short walk along the river and first activity at the end of the afternoon with the twilight playful escapade: the children, equipped with the "nature explorer kit", will discover, with their nature guide, Cyril, through sensory games, observation and awakening, the nature which surrounds them... A whole program full of surprises and emotions!

• Day 2 : Hiking with donkeys : Arboretum de la Foux

Reception of our donkeys in the morning or the day before and learning to guide these animals before leaving with them for a hike to discover the magnificent arboretum of La Foux rich in exotic trees such as redwoods or giant cedars!

Your mountain leader will help you discover the richness of this arboretum in a sensory way. Picnic by the river and return to Aiguebonne, through the village of Saint Sauveur des Pourcils and the old abandoned mines.

• Day 3 : Storytelling and mime hike with the acrobat Kaki in the caves of Cheeses

Small hike in loop, always in company of our donkeys, on the Causse Noir to discover the great spaces. Kaki, the mimaginist, will accompany us throughout the day and will surprise us with his magic tricks using natural elements and his mimes with Mother Nature as a backdrop.

Observation (not guaranteed) of griffon vultures with binoculars and telescope on the edge of the plateau. Visit of a cave-cavern: the cave of Cheeses, used for the manufacture of cheese, the ancestor of Roquefort ... A surprise awaits you during this visit!

In the evening show on Aiguebonne with Kaki : juggling, mime, magic and tales

• Day 4 : GPS and GEOCACHING Nature Rally

Short walk in the morning, in the gorges of the Trévezel to discover this wild river flowing at the foot of limestone cliffs. Picnic by the river and afternoon of fun around a Nature and orientation rally: GPS practice and map reading with Geocache search, nature blind test, riddles to solve... Return by the river to Aiguebonne

• Day 5 : Aiguebonne - Dourbies : from one valley to another

Final departure from the farm of Aiguebonne for the Dourbie valley. After a ford of the Trévezel torrent, we start the ascent to the hamlet of Comeiras then through a beautiful beech forest we reach the Suquet ridge with a beautiful panorama on the Dourbie valley. Passage through the summer pastures and descent in a granite arena to the village of Dourbies and its family house. Lodging in rooms of 2 or 4 for 1 night. Aperitif on the terrace with sunset.

• Day 6 : Aquatic day in the Dourbie!

Nice animation to end the week, on the theme of aquatic hike and canyoning (3h) for a first approach of canyoning adapted to children. A very playful course where swimming in white water, jumping and sliding in natural toboggans alternate, an activity accessible to all and above all unforgettable! Return by hike (1h).
