Throughout this 7-day, 6-night astronomy trip with donkeys in the heart of the Cévennes National Park, an astronomer or astrophysicist will address various themes during observations and discussions.
Gain a better understanding of the philosophical and ecological significance of the dark night, the celestial bestiary (planets, stars, clusters, nebulae, etc.) and the system for locating them on Earth, the notions of distance and scale (solar system, Galaxy, local clusters) and cartography, the legends associated with constellations, as well as observation instruments such as the Galileoscope... to be assembled yourself and used without moderation!
A mountain guide from our team will help you discover how this territory has been shaped since the creation of the earth (geology), the establishment of vegetation, the domestication of the land by man (traces of the Neolithic period, landscaping) and how to orientate yourself (making a compass, finding your way with or without a map) to link the infinitely large to the infinitely small
The aim of this trip is to survey the sky as well as the earth, in an original way and from an original point of view!
