• Day 1:

Welcome at 8:30 am at the SNCF station in L'Argentière-les-Ecrins (05). Transfer to the little high-altitude hamlet at the foot of Pelvoux (3943 m), just a stone's throw from the Barre des Ecrins (4102 m), the highest peak in the Ecrins. Settle into your hostel for five days. Hike through a peaceful mélézin along the Ailefroide torrent and discover this charming village at the foot of Pelvoux. Overnight at the inn.

• Day 2:

Short transfer to the village of Vallouise, then to Entre-les-Aygues. We climb up the Bans valley to the eponymous refuge. Situated in the heart of a glacial cirque, this refuge offers a circular view of the Bans summit (3648 m), the Aupillous peak (3505 m) and the Jocelme peak (3458 m).

• Day 3:

Short transfer to Ailefroide, discover the Selé valley by climbing one of its foothills: the bosse de la Clapouse. This plateau suspended above the valley is surrounded by majestic peaks and offers a superb panorama of the Pelvoux (3943 m). Short transfer to Pelvoux, overnight at the inn.

• Day 4:

Short transfer (15 min) to the Chambran valley. We climb up this welcoming valley to reach a glacier lock dominated by Lac de l'Eychauda (2514 m). This lake is fed by the Séguret-Foran glacier just above, and thaws out only a few months of the year. Return by bus to the hostel.

• Day 5:

Short transfer to Madame Carle's meadow (20 min). Gradual ascent under the Montagne des Agneaux (3664 m) to reach the Glacier Blanc refuge (2542 m), the starting point for many alpine climbs. The most courageous can advance to the foot of the glacier Blanc and catch a glimpse of the Ecrins mountain range.

• Day 6:

Transfer to Madame Carle's meadow. Moraine of the Glacier Noir at the foot of the north face of the Pic Sans Nom and the Barre des Ecrins (4106 m). This valley is ideal for observing chamois. Transfer to L'Argentière-les-Ecrins SNCF train station around 4pm.
