On the Presqu'île de Giens, the restaurant "La Villa Barret" recently reopened its doors after a minor facelift. In this house, reputed to be one of the oldest in the village, the chef offers generous bistronomic cuisine using local produce.
The restaurant "La Villa Barret" invites you to discover the gentle way of life and the village spirit that reign on the Presqu'île de Giens. The establishment welcomes people from near and far over a coffee or a bistro dish revisited with a contemporary twist.
The short menu, which changes regularly, features elegant titles that hint at Provencal influences and creativity. Dishes are carefully prepared using fresh, seasonal ingredients. Our products are sourced directly from local producers.
A unique wine experience
For lovers of fine wines, "La Villa Barret" offers you an additional experience: on simple request to their team, you can visit their wine cellar directly on site to select the wine that will accompany your meal. Let us guide you through the world of our wines, where each bottle tells a story and reflects the authenticity of our terroirs. You can also discover organic, no-sulfite-added, natural and/or vegan wines from all regions of France.
With its authentic Provencal spirit, the restaurant "La Villa Barret" is a great place to meet up with friends or family.
With its bottle-green and pastel-pink walls, old floor tiles and mismatched vintage wooden furniture, this village bistro is the perfect place to share a convivial, gourmet moment before (or after) enjoying the charm of the Presqu'île de Giens, a wild land where nature is preserved.
Our generation is in the sustainable development approach. We have this awareness, so favoring local products is natural, as is applying for the Esprit Parc National brand, because it's in our state of mind.
When they took over the management of their grandfather's hotel in 2012, Benjamin and Damien Piffet were respectively 29 and 26 years old... and already quite a bit of travel.
After studying business and finance, Benjamin traveled and worked in Spain, Germany, England and Brazil. After several internships, he became a pastry chef. Business school also for Damien, who continued his studies in Finland before leaving to work in Hong Kong and Australia.
We grew up here, we are very attached to the territory. Leaving allowed us to realize how lucky we are and the quality of life here. So we took over from our parents.
Each of us has a role to play: Damien is in charge of communication, administration, reception, and supervision of the teams in the rooms. Benjamin supervises the five restaurants.
Their ambition?
We have already created three prototype rooms with the designer Jean Colonna. We met him through the Villa Noailles, which is part of the hotel's history, as our mother has supported the art and design center since its creation.
Le Provençal is also the official hotel of the International Fashion and Photography Festival.
The two brothers are keen to consolidate their local roots: they organize jazz aperitifs open to the public every Thursday evening in July and August, "we have approached local fishermen and market gardeners to work with them, we welcome trainees, we run workshops at the Giens elementary school..."
