Chestnut syrup - Bambous du Mas de Lay

The nearly 2-hectare chestnut grove benefits from a favorable ubac exposure and rich, deep soils that enable it to withstand summer drought and fungal attacks.

Yields are low, but the chestnuts, rich in aroma and sugar, ensure the production of products much appreciated by connoisseurs...

The products are grown without the use of pesticides or chemical fertilizers. Mineral nutrition is provided by compost.

Chestnuts are transformed in a Cévennes collective workshop into a delicious chestnut syrup.
