In the heart of the Ecrins National Park, we will go to understand and admire the capricious torrent of the Romanche at the foot of the mythical and impressive North Face.

Difficulty: This long-distance outing is suitable for "almost" everyone.

Duration: 7 hours

Difficulty: easy

Difference in altitude: 450 m

Topics covered: life of a mountain stream, geomorphology, flora and fauna

Target audience: general public (+7 years) / can be adapted for disabled people (please enquire)

Languages spoken: French, English, Danish.

Groups of 1 to 12 participants

Materials and equipment :

> To be provided by participants :

  • 20-25 liter backpack
  • A pair of hiking boots with semi-rigid soles and high uppers
  • A pair of hiking poles (can be borrowed)
  • Standard mountain and altitude hiking clothing (Gore-Tex or K-way jacket, fleece)
  • Water bottle (minimum 1liter per person)
  • Snacks

> Equipment supplied and/or made available (on request and subject to availability) :

  • Hiking poles
  • Binoculars Hot drinks (tea or coffee),
  • Chocolate and digestif at lunchtime
