In the heart of the Ecrins National Park, we will first evolve on the mountain pastures of Villar-d'Arêne to quickly find ourselves in a high mountain landscape, surely accompanied by some chamois..
Evolutions at altitude with aerial passages on the ascent, possible névés late in the season. Option to eat at the refuge (extra charge). Long distance
Duration: 8h30 (5h walk)
Topics covered: life in high-altitude lakes, history of refuges in Oisans, flora and fauna, glaciology
Target audience: All ages (+12 years)
Languages spoken: French, English, Danish .
Material and equipment :
>To be provided by participants :
- 20-25-liter backpack
- A pair of hiking boots with semi-rigid soles and high uppers
- A pair of hiking poles (on loan)
- Standard mountain and altitude hiking clothing (Gore-Tex or K-way jacket, fleece)
- Water bottle (minimum 1liter per person)
- Snacks
>Equipment supplied and/or made available (on request and subject to availability):
- Hiking poles
- Binoculars
- Hot drinks (tea or coffee),
- Chocolate and digestif at lunchtime
